Project Supervisor/Coordinator - Civil and Mechanical About the role We are seeking an experienced and flexible Supervisor / Project Coordinator to join our specialist team in Perth. This role is ideal for someone with a strong trade background such as Boilermaking, fitting, or rigging—and proven supervisory experience. You will split your time between the office and on site, with approximately 60% spent onsite at various projects across Australia and 40% based in the Perth office, supporting project coordination and mobilisation.
This position is well-suited to someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable working in both hands on and administrative capacities. You’ll be responsible for leading and mentoring site teams, while also assisting with project planning, scheduling, and client communication to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Duties include - Supervising and coordinating trades and operators in construction, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Leading toolbox talks, safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with WHS and company standards.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and job orders to allocate and sequence tasks.
- Coordinating job assignments with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Preparing and updating project documentation, including daily reports and compliance records.
- Assisting with project coordination tasks such as scheduling, job packs, procurement, and mobilisation.
- Tracking project progress, costs, and resources, escalating risks and resolving issues proactively.
- Mentoring and supporting apprentices, trades assistants, and junior staff.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving efficiency in operations.
To be considered for these positions, you must be able to provide the following: - A trade qualification in Boilermaking, Fitting, Rigging, or similar (desirable).
- At least 3 years supervisory experience in mining, construction, or industrial.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive, flexible approach able to manage competing priorities onsite and in the office.
- Sound understanding of WHS standards, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
- Tickets such as White Card, Working at Heights, Rigging/Dogging, Confined Space, and First Aid (desirable).
- A current WA Driver’s Licence and ability to travel nationally as required.
