Workshop Labourer / Trade Assistant GEM Resourcing is recruiting a reliable and motivated Workshop Labourer / Trade Assistant to join our client's team in Henderson, WA. About the role: As a Workshop Labourer / Trade Assistant, you will assist with the day to day operations of a busy workshop, supporting tradespeople and helping maintain a safe, organised, and productive work environment. Previous blasting experience is highly regarded, and forklift experience is an advantage, however a positive work ethic and willingness to learn are the key requirements for this role.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following: - Assisting tradespeople with workshop duties and general labouring tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Preparing materials and equipment for manufacturing and assembly
- Operating a forklift where required (if licensed)
- Assisting with blasting duties (highly regarded)
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials around the workshop
- Following all company safety procedures and workshop protocols
- Working effectively as part of a close-knit team
To be considered for this position, you must be able to provide the following: - Current Driver's Licence (Essential)
- Forklift Licence (Preferred)
- Previous Trade Assistant or workshop labouring experience (Preferred)
- Blasting experience (Highly regarded)
- A strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work
- Reliable transport and preferably living local to Henderson
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
