Industrial Spray Painters
We’re looking for experienced industrial spray painters on behalf of our client based in Landsdale, WA. Our client is offering a long-term position within a well-run workshop with plenty of hours and a reliable team to work amongst, + youll be home every night!
Jobs include structural steel, fabricated assemblies, pipework and refurbishment projects. There’s also an opportunity for an experienced senior painter to step up and take on a leading role.
The Role You’ll be responsible for preparing, mixing and applying industrial protective coatings to a high standard. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently and understands the importance of quality, efficiency and getting the job done right.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying zinc-rich primers, epoxy primers, high-build epoxies and polyurethane topcoats.
- Airless spray painting structural steel, pipework and fabricated components.
- Following coating specifications and product data sheets.
- Achieving the required wet and dry film thicknesses while minimising paint waste.
- Inspecting surfaces before painting and raising any concerns before work begins.
- Working with QA to check coatings and address any issues throughout the process.
- Maintaining spray equipment and keeping your work area clean, organised and safe.
What We’re Looking For - Solid, recent experience in industrial workshop spray painting.
- Confidence using airless spray equipment on structural steel and fabricated components.
- The ability to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish across a range of jobs.
- A good understanding of paint mixing ratios, pot life, recoat times and curing conditions.
- Knowledge of coating thickness requirements and application specifications.
- A reliable attitude, strong work ethic and good attention to detail.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
