GEM Resourcing is currently seeking experienced
Trade Assistants for a FIFO construction project based in the Ravensthorpe region of WA.
This is a hands-on role supporting trades and plant operators with the relocation, installation and refurbishment of transportable buildings and associated site infrastructure.
The Role Working alongside carpenters, operators and other trades, your duties will include:
- Assisting with dismantling and strip-out of transportable buildings
- Component tagging and preparation for transport
- Protective wrapping and load preparation
- Assisting with load restraint
- Spotting for mobile plant and lifting activities
- General materials handling
- Hand digging and preparation of service trenches
- Trench backfilling
- Assisting plumbing and painting trades
- Supporting plant crews with services trenching
- General site clean-up and housekeeping
- Completing allocated tasks safely with minimal supervision
About You To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 12 months' experience on a construction or mine site
- Previous experience working in physically demanding environments
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in hot regional conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions
- Confidence working independently once given a defined task
- Previous experience with transportable buildings or site facilities highly regarded
