Estimator - Commercial Construction
About the role
We are seeking a self motivated, outgoing, and experienced Construction Estimator who combines strong technical estimating skills with sharp commercial acumen. This is an opportunity to join a well established and award winning team working on distinctive projects across Perth, ranging from custom renovations to unique commercial builds.
This role will see you managing tenders end-to-end, from pre-tender through to handover. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and encouraged to bring forward new opportunities, value engineering solutions, and accurate cost analysis to help secure and deliver high-quality projects.
Duties include - Manage project bids from pre-tender through to handover, including qualitative criteria and works programs.
- Actively seek and assess new project opportunities, presenting viable tenders for management consideration.
- Collaborate with the wider team to explore value engineering and cost-effective solutions.
- Assist with preparing and validating take-offs and project variations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tendering systems and processes.
To be considered for these positions, you must be able to provide the following: - Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the building and construction industry (commercial preferred).
- Expertise in interpreting technical drawings, project sequencing, contractual terms, and risk analysis.
- Proven ability to develop accurate and practical construction work programs.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and support broader business functions.
- Proficiency with IT systems (Mac experience desirable).
- Current driver’s licence.
