Contracts Administrator – Commercial Construction About the role We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Contracts Administrator to join a well-established, award-winning construction team in Perth. This role offers the opportunity to work on distinctive commercial, hospitality, heritage, and fitout projects, where your expertise in contract management and commercial acumen will directly support successful project delivery.
As a Contracts Administrator, you’ll play a key role in managing subcontractor agreements, assessing progress claims, and ensuring compliance across all contractual obligations. You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, and site teams to keep projects on track while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants.
Duties include - Administer and manage contracts from award through to project completion.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assess and process subcontractor progress claims and variations.
- Assist with procurement, tender evaluation, and issuing of purchase orders.
- Track budgets, cost reporting, and financial forecasting for projects.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to resolve contractual issues.
- Ensure all contract documentation is accurately maintained and filed.
- Contribute to process improvements in contract administration and project reporting.
To be considered for these positions, you must be able to provide the following: - Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator in the building and construction industry (commercial preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, progress claims, variations, and compliance obligations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and contract documentation.
- High-level attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency with contract administration and project management software.
- Current driver’s licence.
